Lack of Parking During UF Games
As said previously in the blog post for assignment 7, there is often an issue finding parking during UF game days, leading to a shortage of parking and people being forced to buy parking spots from off campus apartments. Many of these sellers run into issues where it is hit or miss whether someone comes across them and buys there spots, as they do not necessarily live close enough to campus that someone would see their house/sign without anyone having told them where to go
I believe that the best solution to the aforementioned problem would be a service which allows people to advertise their parking, through the format of an app or website. The app/website would provide a map of campus, with all advertised parking slots given. Someone could post a new advertisement, giving the number of spaces they have available and the address. A user could reserve a spot from the app/website, and either pay through credit card (on the app/website), or choose to pay in cash (but forgo the reservation). The service would take a slight cut from the profits that the sellers made, and would be mainly used during UF football games, where there can be up to 80,000 people attending.
The primary users of this service would be:
Some other potential uses of the service could be leasing extra parking spots to those who are unable to find parking near them, and need to park their car somewhere for an amount of time.

- people who have extra parking spots to sell
- travelers who do not know their way around uf and need spots overnight
- those who arrive to the games late, after all of the UF lots have filled up

The format of an app to capitalize off of the parking situation is genius. It allows for people who may live slightly off of the beaten path of the stadium to find a market for people who would use their parking. This idea could definitely help alleviate a lot of Gainesville's traffic problems relating to gameday and could maybe even open up some roads.
