Throughout this course, I have definitely improved my time management skills. I started using a todolist app through Google Chrome which allows me to schedule everything that I need to complete. I am now a much more organized person because of it.
I have felt like giving up sometimes during issues with my own personal health. However, fighting though these battles has made me realize that hard work will truly help someone succeed. I do feel like I have developed a tenacious attitude, although not necessarily just during the last two months. School as a whole has made me a more motivated and objective oriented person.
Tips I would give to someone who is taking this class next semester are as follows:
1) Complete all of your work far in advance of the deadlines
2) Always give your best work, never be mediocre
3) Do not consider work to be "pointless", truly understand why doing well in this class will help you later in life.

Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteI love the advice of not considering work to be pointless and seeing a meaning behind it. Having this mindset definitely helps you to motivate and plow through the work you have. This mindset also lets you take away more from every assignment than one previously would've if they didn't think this way. I also agree that this class has given me better time management and has allowed for me to really push to get my assignments done before the deadline and pushes me to stay on top of my time.
Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteBefore reading your post, I had never heard of the ToDoList app. Now I am definitely going to look into utilizing it to keep myself more organized for the rest of the course. I think the point about never considering any assignment "pointless" is a very good one. The success for any assignment will always come down to your own mental commitment to creating the best product.
Hello Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteI admire your response and I believe that you should definitely be a role model for future students. All the classes in UF are extremely challenging and in all of them, we have to be a hundred percent focused if we want to acquire the higher grades possible. College can be frustrating and challenging, I have had a situation when I did not know if continuing this path is the right one for, but there are people like you who inspire me to keep on with my journey. Thank you for sharing.
